Just read an article about how the city is using 311 calls to figure out where more cabs are needed, where there are unsanitary restaurants, and where there a lot of loud neighbors. Pretty interesting. Especially the graph of calls by time of day:

First of all, who knew so many people called 311 every day?? And who knew that they called about chlorofluorocarbon recovery and property taxes?
